Bloomington police seeking additional suspects in carjacking

A Bloomington man suspected of a carjacking is in the McLean County Jail, but police are still seeking several more suspects.

Police responded to the 1100 block of S. Main around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday on a report of an armed robbery. A man at the scene said he drove to the scene to give a ride to someone he knew. When he arrived, two armed men got in the vehicle and hit him in the head with a handgun. Police said the victim was forced to drive to another location, where two more armed men got in. 

The victim was told to drive to several more locations, robbed of his wallet and phone, and then forced out of his vehicle. He was treated and released by medical officials. 

Police later arrested Wayna Sterling, 19, of Bloomington for armed robbery with a firearm, aggravated vehicular hijacking with a firearm, aggravated robbery indicating armed with a firearm, vehicular hijacking, robbery and multiple counts of resisting an officer.
