The Peoria County Regional School Superintendent says she is doing emergency planning in order to keep the alternative school at Wildlife Prairie Park open.  Superintendent Beth Derry says with no property tax revenue the Peoria Regional Learning Center relies solely on general state education money.
She says that amounts to just under $400,000. dollars she won't be getting due to the impasse on the education reform bill in Springfield.

"We are looking at all possibilities from borrowing which leads to fees and we are looking at using our foundation"

Last year enrollment at the alternative school doubled to about 60 students.  The Peoria Regional Learning Center has been open six years.
