A decorated casket has been traveling the United States as part of the Spirit Ride campaign.
The campaign is encouraging drivers to slow down and move one lane over when driving and an emergency first responders vehicle is present.
Saturday's ceremony was to honor all fallen first responders whose lives were taken while working on the side of the roads.
"McLean County has had their share of unfortunate incidents when people don't slow down and move over. So any chance we get to not only enforce the law but educate on the law we take that opportunity," said Sheriff Jon Sandage, McLean County.
The Spirit Casket will be delivered to various cities in all connecting 48 states.
Bloomington was the 44th stop on the tour of almost 300 cities.
