A 43-year-old Pekin man was sentenced Thursday in federal court to 20 years behind bars for receiving and possessing child pornography just six months after his last release from prison.
David C. Turner was released from prison in 2016 after serving 21 years for child pornography, aggravated kidnapping and solicitation for murder. Upon his release, he was placed on 20 years' supervised release and ordered to register as a sex offender.
Law enforcement officials said they found Turner was using a peer-to-peer file sharing network to download and share child pornography in December 2016. Police raided his home in the 2100 block of Court St. to find computer equipment containing 481 images and 84 videos of minors engaged in sexually explicit activity.
