A Galesburg woman, accused of running over a former Galesburg police captain, is found not fit to stand trial.
The Register Mail newspaper reports that the ruling was made Wednesday during a closed court hearing.
Police say Jacqueline Wells ran 61-year-old Andrew Tolle earlier this month near Lake Bracken in Galesburg.
The cyclist says Wells rammed his bicycle twice, knocking him off.
Wells then allegedly ran over Tolle, and dragged the bike a mile away from the scene.
The paper reports that if treated, wells could be fit to stand trial within the next year.
