While many moms are still enjoying those Mother's Day gifts, one stands above all the rest.
Julie Foster of Peoria heard a noise Sunday-- she thought it was a bird. But she also noticed a mother deer hanging around the house. Turns out for good reason, a fawn was stuck in her window well!
"The mother was stomping on the ground trying to tell us what was up. But other people are saying maybe she was being aggressive. I don't know, I didn't get that aggressive vibe. My son was able to reach down and scoop the baby out, and reunite it. I bet if we waited a few more hours, it wouldn't have been alive," said Foster.
Foster says mom and baby returned later-- perhaps for a thank you visit! They're now looking to buy window well guards to keep it from happening again.
