In honor of a former CityLink General Manager's birthday, passengers rode for free Thursday.
Jerome Lilly passed away unexpectedly in 2007.
In addition to free rides on all fixed route buses, a multi-use bus pass holder was given away.
Lilly's father and brother were also there, thanking the company's continuation of his honor.
"I think it's a good opportunity for everyone who doesn't have availability or transportation to get their chance to get to their appointments, whatever their means," said Doris Douglas, CityLink rider.
"We've had a lot of people today come in and say that they remember Jerome and so they love it that we do this in his honor. People that say they went to school with him and remember him when he was a bus driver here so every year it seems really great," said Emily Watson, Director of Marketing, CityLink.
This was the ninth annual Passenger Appreciation Day.
