PEORIA, Ill (HOI) -- -

A 66-year-old man who died in an accident Saturday in Peoria's North Valley likely suffered a medical problem before his crash.

William Booker Sr. of Peoria crashed his Chevy Avalanche at the corner of NE Adams and Abington near O'Brien Steel just after 9 a.m. The vehicle was discovered in flames, partially hanging over a retaining wall. Booker was found dead in the driver's seat.

Booker had an "assorted medical history," according to the Peoria County Coroner, and one of his conditions likely caused the accident.

Witnesses said Booker was headed east on Abington at a high rate of speed when he crossed Jefferson and Adams before crashing into the parked flat-bed semis at O'Brien Steel.

No other injuries were reported.
