URBANA, Ill. -- A federal judge denies a request by reporters, to unseal documents in connection with the federal corruption case of former congressman Aaron Schock.
The Journal Star, along with Politico reporters had tried to get those documents unsealed.
However, the paper reports the reporter did not have any standing to make such a request.
Some of the documents pertaining to the Schock case were partially unsealed by the former judge of the case, Sue Myerscough.
She recused herself last month amid bias accusations.
Schock is scheduled to go on trial July 11th.
