PEORIA, Ill. (WEEK) -- -

Are you heading out shopping over the next few days?

If so.. You might want to think about adding a teddy bear to your shopping list.

These bears are being collected as part of 97.3 Nash FM's annual teddy bear drive.

The radio station along with sponsor Bob Lindsey Acura are collecting the stuffed animals to give to the Children's Hospital of Illinois.

The goal is to collect 2,500 bears to hand out to kids who have to spend Valentine's Day in the hospital.

"I think we're all very motivated to make sure there's a bunch of children to smile and have something fun and bright in their life so it just brings us this fun and fresh perspective and especially at the beginning of the year it's something fun to do," said Kristin with Nash FM.

New, unused bears and other stuffed animals can be dropped off at 97.3's studio on Eaton Street in downtown Peoria or Bob Lindsey Acura.

The deadline to drop off a bear is Thursday, Feb. 9.
