President Barack Obama commuted the intelligence leaking sentence of former Army intelligence analyst and Chelsea Manning on Tuesday.
Manning was convicted in 2010 for leaking military and diplomatic cables to WikiLeaks in one of the biggest leaks of classified information in history. According to the New York Times, Manning will go free in five months.
Manning had originally been slated to serve a 35 year sentence.
