A website that helps local baseball players gain exposure to college coaches held an open house at The Yard today.
Elite Level Prospects trains and helps local players as young as eighth grade get scholarships to further their education and keep swinging the bat.
Players get one-on-one training and group sessions to advance their level of play.
Co-owner and trainer Brandon Wikoff and head trainer Johnny Sage are Limestone graduates. Wikoff was an All-American at the University of Illinois and went on to the big leagues playing for the Houston Astros.
Wikoff said it is important to get central Illinois kids noticed.
"We know that we have a lot of kids that can play at the next level," Wikoff said. "They're just not seen that much. We've talked to a ton of people and experienced the same things with just being under seen, and it's really hard to get exposure."
