PEORIA, Ill. -- After a successful first year, PNC Winterfest is ready to make its triumphant return.
Organizers say this year will be bigger and better- with a larger skating rink and breakfast with Santa on December 17 and 18.
Warm weather put a bit of a damper on last year's event.
This year, organizer Beau Sutherland from the Peoria Civic Center says they are ready for anything.
"We are doing a lot of work this year on drainage and site preparation so that we can avoid whatever Mother Nature has to throw at us," said Sutherland.
"Hopefully it's not seven feet of snow, but we'll be ready if it comes," he added.
The fun kicks off November 25.
Tickets are five dollars for kids age five and under, 10 dollars per person with skate rental, and eight dollars if you bring your own skates.
