The Peoria Chiefs will get their day at Wrigley Field. The Chiefs will host Kane County on July 29th at the friendly confines...believed to be the first minor league game ever played at Wrigley, and a chance for Cubs fans to see one of their all-time favorite players.

"Ryno hasn’t been in uniform at Wrigley Field since the late 90’s, so this is really Ryno’s return to Wrigley," said Chiefs president Rocky Vonachen. " I think people will look forward to that and come out just to see Ryno. We were with him today at the ballpark and everywhere we went people kept yelling, “Ryno! Ryno!” Cub fans love Ryno and this is return back to Wrigley."

And those comments are exactly why we are so starved for "Big League" entertainment in Peoria! C'mon folks! Lets support our boys, win, lose, draw, or playing for the Cubs...lol. After all, if you can find something that beats a nice day at the ballpark, win or lose, then I suggest you do that...

Yeah I was a much bigger fan of the Chiefs when they were under the Cardinals banner.....after all we've won a World Series within the past 100 years :)

Why the Big Deal over the Chiefs playing at Wrigley? They'll, likely, lose in " the big city " the same as in Peoria. Don't forget, They're part of the Cubs organization, AND " The apple doesn't fall far from the tree! "
