Junior guard Tyrone Cole-Scott (Waterloo, Iowa/East H.S.), who played in 27 games during his first season with the Braves in 2007-08, has decided not to return to Bradley for the 2008-09 school year, head coach Jim Les announced today.

“Tyrone is an excellent young man and we appreciate everything he has done for Bradley Basketball,” said Les. “We wish him well in his future endeavors.”

Cole-Scott, who came to Bradley from Tyler (Texas) Junior College, completed the school year in good academic standing and will have one year of eligibility remaining at his new school. The 5-foot-10 guard averaged 3.8 points and 1.0 rebound while playing 13.1 minutes per game for the Braves this past season.

With the additional loss of senior tri-captains Jeremy Crouch, Daniel Ruffin and Matt Salley, Bradley now figures to return nine lettermen from its 2007-08 team that finished 21-17 and advanced to the best-of-three championship series in the inaugural College Basketball Invitational postseason tournament. The Braves have won at least 21 games in each of the last three seasons and are tied for eighth nationally with seven postseason wins since 2006.
