Bradley's Comeback Invitational

After recovering from 14 point deficits in back–to–back wins, we know that C–B–I stands for Comeback Invitational to the Bradley Braves, even when they don't win.
Bradley trailed Tulsa by 11 late in Game One. They came back, but not far enough in a 73–68 loss, and trail the best-of-three series 1-0.

Bradley trailed Tulsa 65–54 with less than four minutes to play, when the Braves turned up the heat. Daniel Ruffin forced a steal and scored a layup. It was part of an 11–to–one Braves run in the final three minutes. It wasn't enough this time, but it's a trait we've seen from Jim Les' program before.

"We take on the identity of our coach," said senior guard Jeremy Crouch. "He's a fiery guy, and puts a lot of pressure on us in practice.
We do a lot of things where you need to get two stops in a row to get out of a drill, so if you get one, you don't get out of it. If they score the next time, then you've got to get two in a row again. I think just those little things from October on add up and build up and I think you gain confidence from that."

"He tries to put us in situations like that in practice where we're down 9 with 3 minutes to go in the game," said senior guard Daniel Ruffin. " In order to overcome that it's all about your composure."

Bradley hosts Tulsa in Game Two Wednesday night at 7. Tickets are still available. If the Braves win, Game Three would be Friday in Tulsa.
