While Jim Les wasn't the one who reinstated Daniel Ruffin, he certainly didn't argue with the decision during his weekly news conference Thursday.

"Daniel has built up a lot of equity in this community by just being a good person and a good role model. I think everybody has appreciated that and wants to give him his due process in a court of law."

Ruffin has been charged with domestic battery and has a March 18th court appearance. But his coach and long–time friend remains one of his biggest advocates. Les specifically pointed to Ruffin's apology on senior night.

"One of the toughest things he’s probably had to do in his life is step out there (on the floor at Carver Arena Tuesday night) and grab a microphone and apologize for being a distraction. It showed who he is and what he’s about."

Les added that nobody was thinking about wins or losses when the news broke last night of Ruffin's reinstatement. But as other coaches will tell you, entering the Valley Tournament with Daniel Ruffin, the Braves are capable of playing the best basketball in the league.

"We’ve got a chance to get a road win and get to St. Louis with some momentum. This team, in my opinion, believes they can beat anyone in this league.>

Ruffin still has to defend himself in court, but there's no question Bradley will be a better team the moment he steps back on one.
