State Football trophies will be handed out next weekend in Champaign.
3 local teams still have dreams of playing in Memorial Stadium.
The Metamora Redbirds are just one step away from a chance to repeat as 5A State Champs.
Metamora Sr. Center Petey List said, "We try not to dwell on last year. We know it was a great memory but we've got a job here and that's to get back to another state championship and hopefully bring another one home."
To have a chance to defend their title the Redbirds have to get past Chaokia.
Metamora head coach Pat Ryan said, "The thing that makes them so scary is that they can be 3rd and 30 and not out of it. I don't think they're ever down in the count because they're always just 1 play away from going a long ways."
In 4A, Bloomington Central Catholic wants to return to Champaign too.
After falling just short of a championship last year.
Saint wide receiver Jesse Heaton said, "Once you've been there you realize how awesome that is and how few and far between it can be but we're looking forward to this year. We have one game to go and we're trying to get the job done."
Bobby Moews team hosts Breese Mater Dei in the Semifinals and it'll be a challenge for the Saints defense.
Saints coach Bobby Moews said, "They can throw the ball real well, they've scored a lot of points. Their QB's thrown for over 3,000 yards. They average 45 points a game."
Stark County makes their first Semi–final appearance since finishing 2nd back in 1997.
The 10th seeded Rebels go to top seeded Milledgville.
Stark County Quarterback Greg Daum said, "They're a very good team. There's a reason they're 12–0 and we're going to have to bring our "A" game to beat them."
Stark County head coach Jade Norad said, "Offensively they've got a lot of weapons and we know we have a big task ahead of us. To try to stop their running game and I think we are up to the challenge."
