Western Illinois football coach Don Patterson's season likely comes to a close this weekend, although the Leathernecks are still mathematically alive for a playoff berth.
It's a season Patterson will be glad to put behind him. Patterson has battled tonsillar cancer to return to the WIU sidelines.
