Olympia wins state baseball

The Olympia baseball team won its second state title in 7 years Saturday night, defeating IVC 6-1 for the 2A title in Joliet.

Spartans pitcher Matt Frahm pitched a complete game and struck out 7.

The Olympia softball team also played for a state title, but lost it's final to Carterville, 13-2.

In 2002 Olympia won both championships (baseball and softball).
