Orange Construction barrels are as hot as the orange sun locally. A number of major area roads have lane reductions in this week's Construction Brake.

Work crews just can't seem to stop messing with the McClugage Bridge.
Monday through Wednesday this week, Comcast will be working under the bridge on cable lines meaning there will be one less lane of traffic going westbound.

The worst of the work is done on Knoxville but lanes will still be shut down at times as crews finish up near War Memorial.

And a year after a fiery tanker crash closed a westbound 74 bridge near Downs, crews are replacing the eastbound structure. A new bridge over Kickapoo Creek should be complete by September, but in the meantime expect one lane going eastbound.

IDOT is also replacing a bridge on Illinois Route nine about 18 miles east of Normal. That should be done by August 15th.

State Farm workers in Bloomington should expect crews sealing cracks on Veterans Parkway for the next month.

Drivers going to Caterpillar's Morton Facility should note North Morton Avenue is getting new pavement from US 150 to Interstate 74. That work should be complete by mid-July.
