Local counties and cities are ready to close down roads so they can be repaired. In Peoria County, Southbound Illinois Route 29 will be down to one lane starting this week near the Route 6 intersection in Mossville.

Also, paving begins on Airport Road in Bartonville early Monday morning.

Now to the closures...

Wheeler Road will be blocked off just east of Glasford Road until the end of July.

Trivoli Road from Todd School to Glasford Road will close for the next four months.

In the city of Peoria, Maplewood just north of Main Street is closed for two weeks.

Over to Tazewell County, where two roads get resurfaced starting Tuesday.

Toboggan Avenue will be one lane from Route 29 to the Mason County line. And, Townline Road will be under construction from Springfield Road to Interstate-155.

And, drivers in Normal need to take notice that work begins Monday on College Avenue near Anderson Park. Eastbound lanes will be closed at least until August. And, westbound traffic will down to one lane.
