Krupa is the Republican candidate to replace Aaron Schock, who is running on the GOP ticket for Ray LaHood's 18th District Congressional seat.

Krupa faces Jehan Gordon who won the Democratic primary over Allen Mayer.

Cindy Ardis-Jenkins initially announced several months ago her interest in the Republican nomination, but pulled her name before the primary.

Krupa recently retired as Executive Director of the Heartland Community Health Center.
