Relative newcomer Jehan Gordon won the Democratic primary to represent her party in the November election for the 92nd state house seat.

Gordon beat Allen Mayer, who works in the state comptroller's office. The seat is open since Aaron Schock is the Republican candidate for the 18th Congressional seat.
