Last week on News 25 at six, candidate for the 92nd state representative seat, Jehan Gordon announced she has a criminal record...a theft conviction from when she was eighteen.

One viewer sent us this response to our story.

"Thank you for your report on Jehan Gordan. That's what we need to know as voters. Sometimes the ethics issue is hard to find. Ethics is doing what's right because it moral, not just because someday you may run for office. I know many 18 year olds who aren't planning to run for office and they don't shoplift. Hmmmm could it be they have ethics? I think I can find another candidate that comes with ethics."

Nearly 200 viewers told us on our online poll how a candidate's background plays into their voting when the head to the polls.

Forty-three percent say it depends on the crime or problem that is at issue.
