Cold and Slippery Job

By WEEK Reporter

The water main break happened at University and Glen.

Illinois-American Water Officials say the break was small at first and then expanded because of the extremely cold.

That sent water running down the hill at Glen, which caused police to close the road for a time.

Jim Ray with Illinois American Water says, "Icing. That's our main problem. We're trying to get that scraped up so we can control the icing and limit all the traffic congestion on Glen."

The clean up continues on Glen.
