Gridley Man's Record Wipe Clean

By WEEK Reporter

The Gridley man whose conviction on child pornography charges was overturned now has his criminal record wiped clean.

That means all records related to the case of Jeffrey Shoemaker and his 2007 conviction for creating child pornography have been sealed.

Shoemaker admitted taking photographs of several nude boys during a party he hosted for his son.

Earlier this year, a court reversed Shoemaker's condition, saying the photos did not depict lewd behavior.

Along with a clean record, Shoemaker will also have his court fees refunded and property returned.
