October 15th is less than two weeks away, and the Illinois Government says more than 150–thousand low–income seniors, veterans and other residents have not filed for their economic stimulus checks.

October 15–th is the last day to file income tax forms for the stimulus payments.

The I.R.S. says Illinois is among the top ten states for unclaimed stimulus payments, with nearly 46 million dollars in unclaimed money.

The state urges low–income seniors and disabled veterans to be alert of their stimulus status, as they may miss getting money because they are normally exempt from filing tax returns.
