Bradley University Faculty Honored

Bradley University announced two gifts of 2–and–a–half million dollars from alumni for its new alumni center.

During the Founder's Day ceremonies, it was announced the facility would be the Hayden–Clark Alumni Center named for the generous donors.

Also recognized were faculty, staff and alumni with some prestigious awards.

One of those honored was Dr. Bob Jacobs who you may know from his News 25 series Postcards from Home. Bob received the Samuel Rothberg Award for Professional Excellence. The award is for outstanding achievements in research and creativity by a senior faculty member. Bob is a Professor in the Communication Department.

Dr. Stacey Robertson, Associate Professor of History, was awarded the Putnam Award for Excellence in Teaching.

Dr. Amir Al-Khafaji, Professor of Civil Engineering and Construction, also received the Putnam Award of Excellence in Teaching.

Dr. Stephen Banning, Assistant Professor of Communication, received the Caterpillar Faculty Award for Scholarship.

Dr. G. Kevin Randall, Assistant Professor of Family and Consumer Services, received the Caterpillar Faculty Award for Teaching.

Mary Jane Sterling, Lecturer in Mathematics, received the Francis C. Mergen Award for Public Service.
