Stabbing Death In Normal

One woman is dead and a suspect under arrest after a stabbing overnight in Normal.

Police say they were called to 1005 Sheryl Lane shortly after 12:30 this morning.

Sheryl Lane is off of Shelbourne just a few blocks east of Main Street and Fairview Park.
When police arrived, they found two victims who had been stabbed.
Both victims were transported to BroMenn Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Police say one victim; a 34–year old female, was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
Police say the second victim, a 16–year old male, was treated for his injuries and is being held for observation.
46–year old Dennis McMillian is under arrest. Police say it appears McMillian acted alone.
The indentities of the victims are being withheld until relatives are notified.
McMillian is being held in the McLean County jail awaiting his first court appearance.
