Fatal Two Car Crash in Tazewell County

A two car crash on Springfield Road in East Peoria kills one and injures another.

The Tazewell County Coroner pronounced 49–year–old Cathy S. Richardson of Delavan dead at the scene at 11:30 Tuesday morning.

The Tremont Fire department had to cut Richardson from the wreckage of her car. The other person involved in the accident was life flighted to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center.

The Tazewell County Sheriff's office is investigating the accident; an autopsy for Richardson is scheduled for tomorrow

the accident did happen near DIllion. I talked to someone who knows the other person involved. The other person is still in the hospital and undergoing surgery as i understand it. my prayers are with Cathy's family and friends.

Cathy was a great person, I was in shock when read this and still am. Can't believe she is gone. We have some great memories with her that we will cherish..May you rest in peace Cathy...U will be greatly missed

I loved Cathy like a Aunt. I can't belave shes gone! I love her soooooo much and will miss her alot. She had alot of people who loved her and missed her. Everybody had fun around her. People didn't notice it but pretty much everybody loved her, well i did anyway. I loved her so much! Everybody says time heals everything. Well i think different. Me and my friends are really,really sad. We can't belave it! We all loved Cathy and will carries her memories with us forever!!!!! I WILL MISS HER!! = (
