Family Frustrated Over Cremation

The family of a missing Mackinaw woman found dead more than a month ago is holding a memorial service in her honor. The Argo Ruestman Funeral Home in Eureka is hosting the tribute for MeLisa Cleary Saturday night.

Cleary was found dead June 9th along railroad tracks near Hartsburg in Logan County. The late mother of three was reportedly going through a separation with her husband Daniel Cleary, at the time of her death.

Daniel Cleary was questioned by the Tazewell County's Sheriff Department then released.

Cleary's mother says Daniel Cleary cremated MeLisa's body against the family's wishes. The family does not know what he did with her remains.

Hey concerned, are you foolish enough to think that all investigations end in 30 minutes just like CSI? Wake up they don't. We need to make sure that things are done right as there is only one shot to hang the person that did this. Tazwell County will get the one responsible.

I have been following this story since it happened, I actually grew up and Mackinaw that is why this story drew to me. I just want to say that I agree with a lot of the readers, Daniel should be questioned more this whole story upsets me more than anything knowing he was in trouble before and now an innocent life was taking and he gets to choose what he wants done with her body hasn't he done enough to this lady and her family. I just hope this case gets solved to many hearts hurt.

I am sure that Daniel will always remain under the cloak of suspicion. Having his wife cremated is so that they do not dig her up out of the ground again. He thinks that he is smart. And yes he is cruel not to let the family know where her ashes are.Like I said he will always be under the cloak of suspicion,he will mess up,give it some time...

How terrible for the children and family members. They cannot go and visit a grave sight. Also, not knowing what he is doing with the remains is horrifying!
