The wife of accused rapist Jeff Pelo testified in her husband's defense at his trial Thursday afternoon.
Ricki Lee Pelo had terse responses to most of the prosecution's questions such as 'I don't know, I can't recall,' or 'I don't remember.'
She maintained those responses after being shown transcripts of her 2006 Grand Jury testimony.
Ricki Lee Pelo described her husband as a family man.
She testified the bag containing a metal bar, rope and ski mask that Police collected as evidence from her home, were junk items she took from her daughters car, and garage and left in a sack.
Earlier, Defense Attorney Michael Rosenblatt got state crime lab worker Deborah Minton to change her opinion of DNA evidence taken from one victim.
Outside the courtroom, Rosenblat told News 25:
"The witness testified it's unknown DNA on the victims face."
Rosenblat says he'll show the DNA on the victim didn't come from Pelo.
Somebody else did it, and that somebody would be her attacker."
The trial resumes on Monday.
Prosecutors are indicating they could wrap up their portion of the trial early next week.
