Howard Scott was killed by a bullet wound to the head last March near his Peoria home.
A friend, 18–year old Michael Howard, was arrested and is charged with Involuntary Manslaughter and Aggravated Battery with a Firearm.
Howard was not charged with First Degree Murder as it was reported the shooting was an accident.

Have Michael Howard been convicted? If so, how much time is he going to get? Thank you Week news for keeping us posted on the development of this case. The parent's of Howard Scott are so torn apart it is really hard to ask them anything about the case.

I do still feel that this was not an accident. What ever Michael was upset about bothered him for a while before he finally reacted. He had enough time to load his gun and contemplate on when he would take matters in his own hands. Where is the undetermined in that. Why do you think they say to watch your friends, but keep your enemies close. I now both of these men were young, but youth does not determine innocence.
