It was the grand opening for the YMCA's new 15 thousand dollar playground.
The new equipment includes everything from rubber tube slides to rubber gravel.
The playground is open to YMCA members and the children who participate in the Y-Day Camp program.
"It's so important because it adds something to our programs we do with our children for the YMCA and also it adds something for our community there are very few places other than schools where community members can come and play with their kids," says Andie Halley.
The YMCA is also adding an educational garden to go along with their new playground.
Lowes Charitable and Educational Foundation helped fund the project.
