27,000 teenagers used club drugs, like ecstasy in a day. News 25's Jenny Li shows us in 2008, drugs are easier to get than ever.

This is common knowledge for the regular, and even casual user, but if it's news to you, you may want to pay attention.

Gone are the days of circling dark, unfamiliar streets for prostitution and drugs. If you're looking to purchase sex or 'x'...you don't have to leave the comfort and privacy of your own home...just look online.

News 25 spoke to a resident of Chestnut Health Systems, which provide chemical dependency treatment.

The resident said, "Every person that's on Myspace has that information and they can find it one way or another."

It brings new meaning to "social networking."

"Say I wanted to find something, I would talk to one of my friends, send them a message. Then they would talk to some of their friends to try to get it. Typically you could talk to a hundred people in an hour and get what you want within no time at all."

You don't have to be a hard-core user to know where to look or how to find it. First time buyers can easily find someone who can get them illicit drugs through social networking sights like Myspace and Facebook.

Chestnut Residential Program Coordinator Neal Hubbard said, "There's people representing themselves as dealers. Substance abuse wise, especially in the adolescent population, it's definitely a trend."

You can even find drugs through commonly used search engines like Google.

Type in phrases like "no prescription codeine" and it'll turn up pages upon pages of sites offering to sell opiates, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, hallucinogens and other stimulants without a prescription. All you need is a shipping address and a payment method.

Prostitutes are not shy online about what they're willing to do for a price.

FBI Agent James Feehan is assigned to the Peoria Police Department for online cases and said, "They're very blunt and up front with what they're offering."

And that part, is legal. Some escorts sites will ask for a zip code, and then it will list the prostitutes in your neighborhood, and it's all public information.

"It's a lot easier, and you have the anonymity behind it. And you can look at the photo of the person before you decide to contact them."

In July of last year, The Cook County Sheriff rounded up 60 women advertising sex for money on Craigslist. Sex and the internet have always been linked, but authorities in Chicago, Seattle, Washington, Jacksonville, Florida and other cities say online prostitution is a booming business. Today's pimp and drug pusher have no problem remaining faceless, because they may have no face at all.

The best way to stay on top of this growing trend is the old-fashioned way.

Communicate with your teenager.

They need to know what their children are doing, and that involves online activity. That absolutely involves online activity. Maybe more importantly online.

"I would definitely not want my mom to be my myspace friend. If I had my mom as a myspace friend, my profile would look a lot different. The internet, you can find anything."
