The single vehicle crash happened around 3-45 this afternoon.
Police say the driver was traveling West bound when he veered off the road... down into an embankment striking a large electric pole.
Firefighters had to extract the man from the vehicle.
The victim was transported to O-S-F Saint Francis Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
At this time the driver's identity has not been released.
Also about 4:30, authorities responded to an accident by Dunlap Middle School on Route 91. Two vehicles were involved and at 5:00 p.m. Route 91 was closed to traffic.
The Peoria County Sheriff's department said there were minor injuries.
