Judge Freitag and the attorneys have questioned all of the initial 40 potential jurors summoned.

Six more people were summoned today to court for interviews.

The attorneys hope to seat two more jurors from the group to fill the remaining alternate positions.

If the process is completed today, the attorneys will discuss evidence tomorrow and the trial should start at the beginning of next week.

Former Bloomington Police Sergeant Jeff Pelo is on trial for allegedly stalking and raping four women.

The 43-year-old has been in jail almost two years awaiting trial.

If convicted of all charges he could face life in prison.

Judge Frietag says opening statements may not start until Monday or Tuesday after he hears several motions filed by the attorneys.

Frietag has said if the jurors deliberate for more than one day, they will be sequestered.
