A Twin Cities woman with strong ties to the country says she hopes relief workers can get aid to the victims soon.

The massive quake shook central China Monday. Thousands are still missing including American and British tourists who were visiting the country.

Jane Liedtke is CEO of Our Chinese Daughters Foundation in Bloomington. The non-profit support group works with local families that have adopted children from China.

Liedtke spoke with her staff in Beijing yesterday.

She said, "Again we're concerned that in the Chengdu area until they get utilities going we're going to have some concerns about feeding and formula and things like that."

Liedtke says an orphanage in Chengdu is not too far from where the earthquake struck.

The children inside the orphanage are apparently okay, but do not have running water and food supplies are low.
