Jeff Pelo has pleaded not-guilty to 35 charges, including 28 counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault and four counts of home invasion.
If convicted of all the charges, Pelo could spend the rest of his life in prison.

His attorney asked a dozen potential jurors how they feel about pornography and the reliability of eyewitnesses. Both subjects could be key factors in the trial.

Defense attorney Michael Rosenblat has questioned how the women
could ID their masked attacker, and police found pornography depicting bondage and rape on Pelo's computer.

Prosecutor Mark Messman asked potential jurors if they watched crime-related TV shows.

Two potential jurors have been dismissed.

Lawyers in the case also revealed this morning that they could call up to 115 potential witnesses in the case.

Prosecutor Mark Messman contends Pelo stalked his victims.

Investigators found a mask and other items in his home that they believe link him to the crimes.

Pelo has been jailed since his 2006 arrest.

The 43-year-old spent 17 years with the Bloomington Police Department before resigning last year.
