They say 52-year-old Thomas L. Moore survived the shot and was in surgery. Hospital officials did not release information on his condition last night.

Detectives say they found Moore slumped over the wheel of a car parked just south of the club on Jefferson Street. Police were already on the property responding to a fight outside of the business.

Police say someone shot the man from outside the vehicle and through the windshield.

Moore was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Peoria Police are asking anyone with information to call the department at 673-4521 or contact Crime Stoppers at 673-9000.

I am 21, I don't have any children and I live on my own. I've never been in any trouble with the law. The young people that are out there and don't want to do right is making it harder for us who just want to be able to enjoy life without worrying about getting shot.

I think Peoria tried to do good because they let apollo get a 4am license so young people can have somewhere to go.But the violence there is proof that it should be shut down.People go out to have fun not fear of being shot.If the owner cant enforce strict dress code,35&over age limit,& no loitering people should not go.The bars make most of its money off young people thats why they dont enforce codes. If the bars dont care about their customers we should not support them.

That was my father that was shoot at that club Young people always complain about not having a place to go but when you do get something you ruin it with immature actions and then someone gets seriously hurt. I think that the club should be shut down. My dad is fighting for his life over something that did not involve him. I am angry we need to wake up and start taking responsibilites for our actions and thinking. You never really know how bad violence can b really until someone u luv is hurt.

In larger cities the nice clubs have age limits to keep the unsetteled younger crowd out. We need to inforce that in Peoria. It really is a shame that the Black owned clubs in town get bad pubicity because of this younger crowd. I say stop letting them in and see what happens then!

I think there should be a limit, such as, 30yrs or older. Obvious, its the younger crowd that usually starts the trouble. If they can't conduct themselves like mature individuals find some other place to go!

If you close it down or put a fence around it the bad behavior will still be there or just move down the street.
