Report Of Gunfire Puts School On Lockdown

Administrators and police placed Peoria's Garfield elementary on lockdown this afternoon after a report of shots fired nearby.

Officers are investigating a possible shooting at Logan Park.

Residents reported hearing gunfire around 2:45 this afternoon.

Students were locked in their classrooms as a precaution until dismissal at 3:15.

No one was injured and police have no one in custody.
