Galesburg Gets Into The Race

The Komen Peoria Race for the Cure is branching out this year. The Innkeeper's Coffee in Downtown Galesburg is a new remote race registration site.

This is the city's first central registration point. Volunteers were on hand with laptops signing people up for team "Knox County Heelers."
Team organizer, Mike Bond, says about forty people took advantage of the opportunity on Saturday.

The race is on May 10, and starts at 7:55 in the morning. Remember you can sign up for the race through our website.

And the Peoria Journal Star will feature race teams on April tenth, look for it in the Neighbors section.
