Western Illinois University Resumes Classes

Students, faculty and staff at Western Illinois University are trying to return to normal a day after a handwritten note threatened a shooting.

A University spokeswoman says no unusual incidents have been reported on the Macomb campus. She also knows of no arrests in the case.

There is an increase police presence on campus. Officers with the campus police, Macomb police, Illinois State Police and the sheriff's office are watching for any problems.

The threat was left in a drop–box of an off–campus apartment complex, stating a shooting would happen on Wednesday, March 26th.
