The vote will go to longtime farm reporter, Colleen Callahan, the only candidate in the running.
Callahan told News 25 late Wednesday night that she will officially declare her candidacy Monday.

Our news partner, the Pantagraph reports Callahan has already attended a candidate orientation in Washington D.C. and rounded up a group of volunteers.
Democrats have not had an official candidate since Dick Versace dropped out of the race early on.
Republicans picked Schock as their candidate in the February primary.
He beat out two other Republican contenders.
The winner of the November general election will replace the retiring Ray LaHood.
