Court Records Released In Pelo Case

By News 25 Staff

Records in the case of a former Bloomington police officer indicate pornographic images of bondage and rape were among the files retrieved from computers police seized from his home.

Jeff Pelo is scheduled to go to trial in April after pleading not guilty to nearly three dozen charges alleging he raped four women between 2002 and 2005.

The 42-year-old also pleaded not guilty to charges he stalked another woman starting in April 2005.

Police searched four computer hard drives seized during a June 2006 search of Pelo's home.

A police statement submitted to the court in December 2006, said the search revealed numerous items of pornographic nature and depictions of rape and bondage.

A March 10 hearing is set on several pending motions that could, if resolved, set the stage for an April 7 trial.
