Teen Pleads Guilty In Pontiac School Gun Incident

By News 25 Staff

A 16-year-old who allegedly brought a number of guns to Pontiac High School pleaded guilty today to all twelve counts against him at his bench trial today in Livingston County.

The juvenile was charged twice for each gun he allegedly brought
that day; one for having it on a school bus and one for having it
on school property.

The juvenile testified a few weeks ago at the trial of a 15-year-old also involved in the incident. The sixteen-year-old testified that he brought the guns to school that day in order to make money.

The sixteen-year-old could face up to three years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, with a chance to negotiate a smaller sentence.

The sentencing hearing is scheduled for January Second.
