It's the 25th of the month, the day when we remind you to do your breast self-exam and ask you to remind a buddy to do theirs as well. We also want to remind you about another important date coming up. Saturday, May 10th is your chance to take steps in the fight against breast cancer.

It's hard to believe, but it's less than two months before the Peoria Komen Race for the Cure. In fact, you only have until April 18th to register as a member of a team.

Here's the easy way to do it. All you have to do is log onto KomenPeoria.org,
click on Race for the Cure. Then, register as an individual or a team.

And if you already know that you can't be there on Race-day, May 10th, but you still want to participate, you can make a direct donation on-line.
The important thing is to participate, whether you can be there in person or not.

The goal this year is to raise $1-million dollars locally. Whether you're registering as a team member or an individual, the cost is $25. Of course, you can always contribute more.

And another fun way to participate is in this year's Try it on for the Cure.
Coldwater Creek is a national series sponsor and in the Peoria area you can try something on at Coldwater Creek on Sunday, April 20th. For each shopper who does try something on, Coldwater Creek will donate $1 to the local Komen affiliate.

For more on how you can get involved in this year's Race for the Cure or for information on our Buddy Check 25 program, check out the Related Content on this page.
