Gas prices have hit another record high overnight. Triple-A Motors reports the national average for a gallon of regular unleaded rose to $3.50.

Today, the Consumer Federation of America released a report on American's attitudes toward gasoline prices and consumption.

The group says after four years of gas price increases, Americans still have had a hard time cutting back on gasoline consumption.

Many have long commutes or don't use mass transit.

We are getting better at buying hybrid vehicles.

A research firm that watches the auto industry says Hybrid sales were up 38% in the U.S. last year.

However, hybrids still made up just 2% of the overall U.S. market share.
