Cleaning out your closets and chucking your trash is a little more complicated for East Peoria residents this fall.

Since the Tazewell County landfill is now closed, the city will not hold a fall clean-up week as in years past.

Instead, residents can take their trash to the Peoria County landfill and dump it for free if they pick up a clean up coupon.

The coupons are available starting October 2, at East Peoria City Hall on Main Street and the Public Works Department on Washington.

The landfill will not accept appliances, tires or construction materials.
